What's in your Passport?

It's been a while since we traveled cyberly to another magical destination.
First we went to Russia, then Greece, Spain and then to London. Now i take you to Mystic Falls, lol just joking, but if you are a true die hard Vampire Dairies fan like me, you know what i am talking about.tehe. Ok so today we go to India. This is one country i am dying to visit because of it's colorful nature. Women wear the colorful sari's, hand made with embroidery details found no where else. Below are some awesome poly sets that represents India and it's beauty.

Some Awesome Facts about India:

* Chess was invented in India
* India was known as the richest nation of the world till the British invaded her in the early part of the 17th Century.
*India was the only source of diamonds in the world up to 1896.

What's your Secret?

Polyvore held a contest "Secret Soiree". It ended last night, so we are waiting for the results.
We had to put together an outfit we would wear to this awesome event. I like to make sets with outfit i would really wear in real life, and the scents i would buy as well. So even though it is for fun , i like to keep it all real. Below are my entries.

In 1986 Hasbro released a Rock and Roll video fashion doll line called JEM. JEM was really Jerrica disguise by a hologram. JEM was the lead singer of JEM and the Holograms; the Holograms included Jerrica's sister Kimber, and foster sisters Aja and Shana. JEM and the Holograms competed against the Misfits (Pizzazz, Roxy, Stormer) and Eric Raymond for control of Starlight Music -- the studio Jerrica and Kimber's father created. This story line was revealed in Truly Outrageous! the movie, which was release in 1985, and seen in fifteen seven minute segments on Sunbow's Super Sunday/Super Saturday. These became five episodes in the JEM animated series, in 1986.

I love JEM. She is by far the original pinked haired glitter loving rock star scene girl. She's not real, but we have some people today that copy her look. She made the star symbol shine brighter, she made the tutu dress become stylish, she made the giant bow what it is today. There's even some rumors floating around, that there will be a movie on JEM. Since there was a success with G.I Joe and Transformers there are talks about making JEM into a movie..WHOA..i would love to work with the styling department on that one. So when you see girls rocking the tutu, glitter, stars, big bows etc, they are clearly inspired by JEM. Why wouldn't they be? Jem is truly outrageous!

I recently opened up my comments to non-bloggers.
I closed them a while back because of rude/hateful comments left by poly haters.
So if your around and want to leave something, you can, i won't bite, i only bite cupcakes!

Off the subject, i like it when people have a product and have others model it for them.
Example Tarina Tarantino can be her own model. Because she already has bright pink hair and is lovely.
tarina tarantino Pictures, Images and Photos
Another example is Kimora Lee, who is the creator of Baby Phat, she can be the model for every ad, since she was a model before and she is gor'juss. They don't make it all about them, but more about their customers. To me it makes them look real, less vain and not narcissistic.
It's easy to be the one in front and want all the attention/fame, but it's such a turn off and people see right through it.

Fashion Inspired by Art!

There is no denying that current events have a way to shape the world as we know it.
There is also no denying that art is a reflection of the world we live in. For many years great painters have left behind their master pieces for us to enjoy, be inspired by, study and wonder.
These masterpieces are a window into a world that existed before us. It also gives us a glimpse of how it was for women, fashion, the love for nature and struggles. I can also bet my hands on the fact that you can't be a designer, song writer or artist and not be inspired by what was left behind. I will call this "The Cycle of Creativeness" don't bother googling it, because it doesn't exist, only here, lol!

The cycle begins with a painter who's work is exhibited. Seen by a young designer who is inspired, and his latest collection is a reflection of the emotion gathered by viewing the artwork. The designer has a runway show. In the front row is a musician who is then inspired by his/her designs and writes and song. Someone turns on the radio and hears the song. That person is then inspired to create. I think you get the point. So Art plays an important part of our culture. Art is everywhere and everyone is affected by it, whether you believe it or not. Without art there'd be no designers, because you have to draw the design first. Below are a few designers who were inspired by art and how they in return will inspire others.

Alexander McQueen Last Collection

His inspiration came from angels and demons painted in the Baroque era.
Days before his death he tweeted "Hells Angel, Prolific Demons"
A true genius is forever gone, but his legacy will continue to inspire.
