It's been raining all day long, but the rain water is good for my tiny garden. I saw one little tomato already. Today I had the day off and went to the Franklin Institute . It's awesome being down center city. I love my Philadelphia. Anyhow, the rain did not put a damper on my love of colors, why should I be gloomy with the weather? Boooo. Below my outfit was inspired by none other then the beautiful Rainbow that does appear after the rain.

I know I've stated before I do not blog on the weekends, but today I broke the rules. Because, well I guess I can *wink! Today was my niece Madison's Bowling Birthday Party, she turns 8 years old. Knowing ahead of time I would be surrounded by little girls, I channeled my "inner child" by wearing my Rainbow Bright tee. After the bowling party was over I went with my mommy to a thrift store. Inside that blue bag i'm holding is a very special skirt. Stay tune for it. Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend so far...oxox

Madame Bijoux

MADAME BIJOUX

You may recall a scene in the movie Titanic  where Jack is showing his remarkable artistic skills to Rose. Of all the drawings, one stood out the most to me. A drawing that kept me curious and wondering if that person was indeed real. This drawing was titled "Madame Bijoux", it was of an old lady whom Jack meet once in Paris. This old lady according to Jack, would wear all her jewelry(bijoux) every night to a bar "waiting for her long lost love". I've search for this mystery and nothing really came out expect a story of a lady named "Madame Mustache", this is not the same person, nor the same story, but reading about her made me want to grow a mustache and set up a gambling table. You should check it out when ever you can.

I was inspired by the idea and concept of wearing most of my accessories and pretend to be Madame Bijoux for just one moment. How long was she waiting until she finally decided to move on? Did her long lost love ever show up? Was that the bar he promised he would return for her someday? Ah...I guess we will never know, but the idea is so sad, yet beautiful in some ways.

 I've had this skull and cross bones top for over a year in my closet, with tags and all.

I decided to finally dust off it's bones and wear it. I did not want to go all "punk" with my look, so I added pearls and floral pants, to give it a softer feel. Also, I wanted the "classy" side to reflect the mod look of the 1960's with my blue outwear from the thrift store. There you have it, Classy Rock.

His attention to details are impeccable. I know summer is a few weeks away, but I cannot get enough of his Spring 2013 collection. So beautiful.
