"LOVE" it

"LOVE" it
How I adore my "LOVE" necklace. This lovely spin-off from LANVIN /Fall 2013 is truly lovely. I'm not a fan of knock offs at all nor do I support purchasing a fake designer handbag in the black market, but I saw this necklace while shopping at Joyce Lesile and I fell in "LOVE" with it. Close to the real thing, yet I am certain the real thing is beyond words. Until then i'll enjoy my tiny necklace and pour all my LOVE into it. Did you find anything lovely this weekend?

Primary Colors

 RED, BLUE and YELLOW

I'm not a fan of wearing primary colors all at once, although it happens. When it does happen I try not to look like a big giant preschool poster. Well, maybe being compared to a box of crayons would be better. I'm enjoying my Phillip Lim bag from Target. The word is the collection is already sold out in most stores. People are going instane for the limster. Can you blame them? After all they are Phillip Lim items. Have you purchased a Phillip Lim item yet?

Breton Stripes!

Voile Loin!

Seems like summer is not really summer without paying homage to the Breton Stripe. Wearing stripes takes us to a place where sailors once occupied the shores/seas as the aroma of sea salt filled the air. History states that the "Breton Shirt" was the uniform of sailors only. Sailor wore these striped shirts to be spotted if they fell over broad. Also, the 21 stripes represented all of Napoleon's victories.

Leave it to Coco Chanel to find inspiration at the French Riviera for her 1917 Nautical line. She was a designer with vision; one who found beauty and inspiration in the least likey of places. Coco paired a brenton striped shirt with flared trousers, giving us the women who can wear both the pants and the skirt. From this moment on, Breton Stripes have set sail from the shores of the French Riviera into mainstream America allowing us all to feel "Oh So French".

Not up to a Breton shirt? You can still rock the "striped" look with shoes or a handbag.
