Emerald City

Incase you have been casted away and speak to a ball named wilson, Pantone's color of the year is Emerald. My dress below is emerald, but the flash made it look teal...eeek! Either way Emerald is a very beautiful green; it is an elegant color and rich.

Emerald is also known to encourage: spiritual growth, clear vision, memory, faith, intelligence and communication, inspiration, joy, intuition, clairvoyance, sensuality, love, romance, beauty, harmony, tranquility, serenity, clarity, cleansing, justice, friendship and unity. 

With this outfit I was inspired by the land of OZ, but time traveled into the 1920's. I also wore my Dana Maxx tights. These tights were in my goodie tote bag from the Dana Maxx and BenAmun Fall 2013 Press release event I attended to kick off Fashion Week(feb 2013) . I also wore my BenAmun earrings, which were also in the goodie bag. And what's with my cat Luna wanting to be in the picture?

Dana Maxx & Ben Amun by Isaac Manevitz "Made in NY" Fall 2013 collections

I was honored to receive an invite to attend Dana Maxx and Ben Amun by Isaac Manevitz "Made In NY"press release event, to kick off fashion week. The event was short of amazing , as it was held at the Carlton Hotel penthouse, 12th floor. The moment I walked in I was greeted with a sea of delicious cupcakes by Sweet generation, proudly displaying edible logos of the event's humble superstars: Dana Maxx and Ben Amun by Isaac Manevitz. A group of three models came out wearing Dana Maxx fall/winter 2013 collection inspired by Georgia O'Keeffe. Dana Maxx truly captured the palette of the artist by using colors such as pumpkin, nudes, ice blue, mulberry, midnight, sunflower and black.
Every piece on it's own was breath taking, but together it was all a masterpiece.

How can dana maxx collection get anymore ravishing? Add some Ben Amun by Isaac Manevitz luxury jewelry of course. Each piece is so well crafted by hand and I was blessed enough to have some dress up time with Dana Maxx Spring 2013 collection and some of Ben amun pieces. Talk about playing dress up to the "maxx". As I mingled thoughout the event , I also had a chance to get my make-up done by POP beauty who was part of the beauty bar displayed along with Color Club ;to get your nails done. The whole event was lovely and the best part was seeing how approachable both Dana Maxx and Ben Amun are. Both were kind, friendly and when I put on Dana Maxx's white sequin blazer, we both joked about being twins. Even are hairs were red, expect i bet she is a natural red head, I on the other hand am not.

Dana-Maxx and Ben-Amun Launch Fall/Winter 2013 Collections at “Made in NY”

Dana-Maxx and Ben-Amun kicked off New York Fashion Week last night at “Made in NY” a preview of the up and coming apparel designer’s and established jewelry brand’s Fall/Winter 2013 collections in The New Yorker Penthouse Suite at The Carlton Hotel.    The event was hosted by Alicia Quarles of E! News who shared the spotlight with good friend Diem Brown of MTV’s The Real World fame turned People Magazine blogger who shared her fantastic news that she is now cancer free.  
  Also in attendance was Leslie Birkland, star of the Style Network’s docu-reality series Big Rich Texas and 13-year-old rising star Emma Kenney who plays Debbie on Showtime’s hit show Shameless who left the editor and blogger guests in attendance star struck!  Miss New York Teen USA Nikki Orlando showed off her crown and pride for her state while posing for pictures with guests who kept busy by tweeting and posting party pictures on Instagram.   
Guests toasted with strawberry infused Prosecco cocktails by Fragoli Liqueur and treated themselves to Dana-Maxx and Ben-Amun branded mini cupcakes by Sweet Generation.  Caravan Styling Studio provided a beauty bar for guests to pamper themselves with hair braids by Salon Grafix, eye shadows by Pop Beauty and lip stains by Daliia Cosmetics.  Manicures with the latest Fall colors were seen on the nails of guests thanks to Color Club before playing dress up in the chic styling suite with Dana-Maxx apparel and Ben-Amun jewelry.    

Models mingling throughout the suite showcased the Fall lines revealing the season’s latest looks including: capelets, cropped sweaters, car coats, equipment blouses and stylized dresses for designer Dana-Maxx Pomerantz’s ready-to-wear collection, while Isaac Manevitz, designer of Ben-Amun presented emerald green, textured gold, clean sculptural lines, and modern pearl statement pieces as trends to watch for the Fall season. Dana-Maxx and Ben-Amun are proud to be 100% made in New York City’s garment district.
